Math Competitions

Townsville students from Primary 4 to 6 had the opportunity to take part in various Math competitions organised by Hwa Chong Institution, NUS High School and Raffles Institution.

In 2024, 13 of our students received awards ranging from High Distinction / Gold to Honourable Mention / Bronze. Through these competitions, we aim to

·         generate greater interest and enthusiasm for Mathematics among our students

·         sharpen their problem-solving skills

·         provide an avenue to challenge and stretch our students’ mathematical potential

·         nurture and recognise our budding mathematical talents

National Mathematical Olympiad of Singapore(NMOS)

Townsville pupils from P3-P6 had the opportunity to take part in various competitions organised by Hwa Chong Institution, Raffles Institution and NUS High School. Through the latest National Mathematical Olympiad of Singapore(NMOS), 16 of our pupils were awarded either with Gold/Silver/Bronze/ Honourable Mention. This latest competition aims at nurturing and recognising budding mathematical talents in primary schools.
