Community Partnership

A realm of exuberant individuals ready to take on the ever changing world.

Area of Focus

  • To provide a platform where students would be able to demonstrate school values
  • To develop in students a sense of belonging to the school, community and nation

Grounded on the value ‘Compassion’, our the Community Involvement Programme (CIP) is planned with the intent to nurture our students to be socially responsible and to help them understand that everyone has a role in enhancing the well-being of the community and the country. Delivery of our CIP is guided by the dual theme of ‘Growing a Big Heart’ and ‘Caring for the Environment’, with opportunities created for service learning. Thus, the school adopts the structured approach of Service – Learning that takes into consideration the following 4 areas.

  • Engaging students in service that meets real community needs
  • Identifying learning outcomes to link the students’ service experiences to the school curriculum
  • Preparing students mentally and physically for the service tasks
  • Providing a structured process for students’ reflections

All students will be involved in at least 2 Community Projects each focusing on ‘Growing a Big Heart’ and ‘Caring for the Environment’.

The CIP for the year 2012 are as follows:
P1: Love Art Project and Adopt A Compound In School
P2: Befriending the School Newcomers and Adopt A Compound In School
