CCA Objectives:

  • To talent scout and form a nucleus of players starting from Primary 1 who will eventually be ready to represent the school in Junior and Senior tournaments.
  • To inculcate in players a high level of perseverance, integrity, positive work attitude, teamwork and sportsmanship during training and at tournaments.
  • To teach and equip players with the skills, mental and physical strength and team spirit to achieve success for the school.

Description:
Badminton is a sport played by two opposing players (singles) or pairs (doubles) in a rectangular court divided by a net. Players can score points by striking a shuttlecock with their racket over the net and lands in their opponents' court.

CCA Objectives:
To groom and equip participants with knowledge and skills of floorball, honing them to be leaders who exhibit values of responsibility, resilience, respect and sportsmanship.

Description:
The TVPS floorball team participates in the National Floorball Championships annually. Not only do we aim to equip our players to succeed in the Championships, we also aspire to inculcate values such as commitment, teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship, respect and responsibility in our players. Studies have shown that participants of competitive sports often do well academically. As a team, we also place strong emphasis on our players' academic performance.

Description:
Rhythmic Gymnastics is a sport which combines the fluidity of gymnastic movements with the rhythm and beauty of music.

It is juxtaposition of athletics and aesthetics. RG is a highly skilled sport. The rhythmic gymnasts in Townsville require a lot of self-discipline and determination to master the complexity of coordinating gymnastics dance movements with music

CCA Objectives:
Provide opportunities for students to:
-acquire, develop and apply the set of soccer skills they have learnt.
-pitch their skills against other school players, especially during competition.
-exhibit school values through sportsmanship and teamwork.

Description:
In soccer, students develop their skills through drills as well as game play situation. They go through different stages of training based on their fitness and abilities. Newly recruited members go through trials and are trained to become potential school team players.

All soccer training sessions are conducted by the teachers-in-charge of the CCA themselves. A holistic approach is adopted to develop the boys to their fullest potential.

CCA Objectives:

  • To develop an appreciation for Taekwondo as a sport and art.
  • To achieve physical fitness through positive participation and discipline.
  • To develop a sense of responsibility of oneself and others.
  • To learn self-defence skills.
  • To achieve Junior Black belt

    Description:
    Our Taekwondo pupils are being trained by instructors from Zen Academy. Pupils are taught basic stances, blocking, punching, kicking and chopping.

    Emphasis is also being placed on attitude towards discipline, fitness and martial arts spirits.

    We believe that every student should strive to achieve new heights in their Taekwondo journey.
